Uk divorce laws

I'm not trying to start another is it normal discussion about sexism and who is the primary victim of it as I know how that goes on is it normal but there's one thing in UK law that I find is leaned in favor against men and that is divorce laws involving children and visitation or custody rights.
Unless the husband is a victim of abuse the male is usually unfairly handled in terms of visitation rights and custody, it seems that the UK law sees that it's a woman's prerogative to have custody and not a man's.
How are the divorce laws in your country? Have you noticed this?

When I returned to American waters in 1979, as a single male parent, social services wanted to take my child away from me. Citing all kinds of rules that had no relevance to my situation with my daughter (we lived on a boat and were circumnavigating), it became necessary to leave US waters and re-enter without informing them. In those days it was frowned upon for a male parent to raise a female child for some odd reason. Talk about sexual inequality.

Can you elaborate on your ordeal? I mean, was it because you're male or because you lived on a boat? CPS likes to fuck with people who do nothing wrong but just live alternative lifestyles (a sailor like yourself, homeschoolers, homesteaders, certain communities, etc).

It as a combination of the two, I'm sure. The person I had the interview with was cool, she told me of her boss's intent to take my child away as a warning, then rescheduled the appointment for the next week. I too the hint and sailed for the VI the next day.

        NO SIR!

NO FUCK ME - FUCK YOU VERILY!

IT IS BECAUSE MEN WISH TO MAINTAIN THEIR POSITION OF DOMINANCE IN SOCIETY THAT THEY CONSISTENTLY DERAIL PROGRESS TOWARDS GENDER INEQUALITY BY FIRSTLY DOWNPLAYING THE AFFECT A PATRIARCHAL SYSTEM HAS ON WOMEN'S PROSPECTS AND SECONDLY CLAIMING TO BE EQUAL VICTIMS OF SEXISM.

THEY STIFLE ANY DIALOGUE WHICH OPENLY AND HONESTLY ACKNOWLEDGES THE GREATER STRUGGLE OF THE FEMALE, FOR FEAR IT WILL UNDERMINE THE CAREFULLY CURATED POWER STRUCTURE UPON WHICH THEY SIT.

I WILL CUT YOUR BALLS OFF!

I hate women but in this case I agree they should have more rights than men when it comes to children.

I meant why do you agree that women should have more rights than men when it comes to children? What's your reasoning for such an opinion?

There's a lot of single mums around where I live and they seem to do a better job than single dad's. I mean each case is different but overall they do a good job.

  • Don't know what else to add to this. It happens, it's a thing, nobody is trying to stop and those trying to stop it the best they can are misogynists for it (apparently).

But I'm just a white, cis, male. What the hell do I know?

  • the law of the UK (There is not a uniform divorce law there is the laws of england and wales, scotland, northern ireland.the laws will be different for each)
as for women rights etc, and all that crap the courts will rule on what is in the interest of the child who cares about feminist shit.

I don't get this ruling. why isn't woman lip throwing a hissing fit?!? yes, woman's lip. that wasn't a typo. isn't this just the courts saying a woman's place is to be bare foot and pregnant? that woman are just meant to be mommies? that its not a man's place to take care of children? i was lucky. my ex didn't want to be saddled with raising our daughter and i got full custody. yup. i get a phone call on mother's day, "happy father's day" and i get the same call on father's day. when i talked to the lawyers (pre-divorce), not a one, talked about me getting custody, but cutting my loses.

Here it is very unfair to men, on paper it is not but in practice it is.

The laws are gender-neutral here (US) so the law itself doesn't discriminate. The fact that more women than men have custody does not mean it's due to unfairness.

UK laws aren't any less neutral, as far as I'm aware.

But you can't completely remove human judgement - so however unbiased laws might be, when you factor in the human application of them, that is where discrimination can arise.

Prejudicial trends aren't unheard of in the legal system, especially when judges use legal precedence as guidance, and all juries aren't 'created equal'.

Not that I'm saying OP is necessarily right about UK divorce proceedings - I'm just rambling.
