I'm not seeing the problem everyone else is seeing. You don't want to date someone who feels comfortable in that work environment. You're doing the right thing, I don't find it insecure.
You're a guy, you know how guys can be and you don't know why a girl would willingly put herself in that situation. You have all the right in the world to date somebody who's more compatible for you.
People love throwing the word insecure around. It gets to a point where that word loses it's value. It's a shame, really. Insecure isn't some kind of curse word.. but that's a rant for another day.

What's wrong with hooters? It's not a strip club. Have you ever even been there? I find that usually people with a ridiculous bias toward hooters haven't ever even eaten there before. I bet she wears skimpier clothes when she goes out on the weekend and doesn't get paid. So, would you rather that guys gawk at her for free? Or she gets paid for her work as well as being beautiful? Hooters has such an undeserved stigma attached to it like it's a sex den or something. It's so dumb.

I think you made a smart choice to leave that relationship. Just find another girl (with a normal job).

Whatever floats your boat. If that bothers you, then so be it. However, it's a JOB. I'd be more turned off by a partner who had no desire to get a job in the first place.

I could see why someone would work there, I had someone recently say they were willing to try but they didn't want to since they found it demeaning. I think in this economy any job is a job so you would take what you could get.
