Trouble saying i love you

I just celebrated my one year anniversary with my boyfriend, but I haven't been able to say "I love you" yet.

Before my current boyfriend, I dated a boy for 3 1/2 years. I think i'm afraid to say it to him because I think love is a huge committment and should be taken seriously. i really do care for him, but how can i be sure he is the one? at this point in my relationship with my past boyfriend (at the one year mark), i was sure i was gonna marry him too.

anyway, his best friend told me he really loves me and my friends tell me that they can tell i love him, whether i say it or not. i just don't know what to do.. it scares me to death to say it.

    U can love someone even though it might not last. I agree that it's hard. And if u don't love him don't say it cuz that's cruel. But if u do love him then why not say it? Whether he is the one or not, u will not know, so if u love him then let him know haha goodluck

    A year? You're putting a WORD on such a ridiculously high pedestal. Actions speak louder than words, anyways. If you don't love this guy, then don't say it.. but if you're just worried he's "not the one", you need to get over that and just say it.

    Well if it doesn't feel right, leave it alone. Don't say something you don't really feel. Maybe you just like things the way they are and that is just fine.

    thats totally normal but u have to decide if u love him or not and if u do u shouldnt have a problem telling him

    depending on how long you've dated, if you're not ready to commit then that you should tell him. there's all kinds of love. If you can't say it don't worry about it. sounds like you're not over your last relationship yet which is all right too, we all need time, just let him know..
