Tool is for weird people

Yes it's normal to have an opinion. However I think tool is the best band on the planet. I'm going to see them in two weeks. They're a band you have to connect to. Hints the cult like following. Their music means the world to alot of people. I say give them a fair chance.

Well I must say... I'm pretty fucking weird you know wearing corsets and pleated chained skirts Chained and ripped pants and huge boots, Tattoos and piercings, and spiked collars. I fucking love Tool bitch. But everyone has their opinions like me I hate Rap and Country and fucking Pop. I'm all about some Metal From heavy metal to black metal to satanic metal and some hard rock. I'm looking forward the the Mayhem fest next year \m/>_<\m/

this guy above doesnt know what he is talking about. you are entitled to you opinions, but saying that their instrumrntation is normal is a huge understatement. their heavy basslines, complex drumming, unorthodox guitar playing, and kick ass vocals are matched by no band

The members of Tool are gay. I love Tool! And, yes, I'm very "weird". You have to be intelligent to listen to Tool :)

Tool are pretty damn boring. Very generic instrumentation, that sounds like every other late 90's mainstream rock band aside from their intolerable length of 14 minutes per song.
Tool does have good visuals on album covers and music videos, but then again so do a lot of people, doesn't make them good at playing music.
Maynard sounds like an angry version of that bald loser from Staind.
The lyrics leave a lot to be desired, They rarely flow, and for the most part seem to just be rants nearly identical to the ones kids read to each other in teenage psych wards. So what, he writes about family issues, domestic abuse, got beaten as a kid, shoots junk. It sucks he had a bad childhood, so did I, but telling your story isn't high art, I've heard better poems in group therapy. Not only that but there are millions of bands that talk about that stuff, Blood For Blood is a good example of one with similar lyrical themes; revenge, sadness, anger, substance abuse, etc. But at least they can write catchy lyrics and you can actually sing along to their songs. Tool simply seems to be a run of the mill stupid nu metal band trying to be artsy and failing. It's lame.
