Too slow-paced for fast food, so where should i work?

I'm a part-timer, my employer has started giving me less hours, reason being that I'm working too slow. I'm thinking of trying for a new job, since I think I would enjoy working in a place where I don't constantly have to make several burgers in less than a minute.

Every application talks about a fast-paced work environment, so I don't know which to choose. I need advice from people who have more work experience than I do.

Just a thought, how about working in an old folks home? About the only thing you would need to do quickly there would be call for an ambulance.

    • I thought those were usually volunteer positions? I hadn't considered them, but I'll definitely add it to the places I'm applying to.

No, definitely paid positions. Certainly not easy work and really tough to lose those you care for on a regular basis.

That's pretty fast-paced too. Have to be able to chase down the crack-heads that don't pay up.
