To want to have a 3 person relationship?

For some reason I want my boyfriend to have a boyfriend who is also my boyfriend. Basically, it's a 3 person relationship. I mean, the more the merrier! I'd have two boyfriends and both of those boyfriends would be boyfriends, but they'd be bi-sexual so I'd be their girlfriend. They say it takes two to tango, but I think I wanna bend those rules a bit!

    I think it's called "polygamy"?

I saw this show and they had a tri-couple on it. One woman and Two guys. They weren't married, but instead it was like a partnership. The woman was pregnant by one of the men and everyone was fine with it. They thought it would be good to raise a child in a open and loving situation.

On MTV's True Life, they had a episode about this. There was a tri-couple that consisted of three gay guys. Everything's fine and dandy until two of the guys get closer to each other and the other on feels left out. Than, one of them suggested adding another guy to the mix. I doesn't work out. I think they all went their separate ways.

I feel mixed on it. The first one I mentioned, seems more loving and positive if anything else. There was a show about this TLC and I didn't agree with it. The guy had committed a crime of being married to more than one woman and they literally showed them moving to another state to get away from the law!

In some cultures, this is normal. In some African Tribes, it was custom for the man to take on many different wives. On the show Good Times, Thelma, the daughter, is dating a African Prince ,Ebe? (pronounced like Ebay), he proposes to her and wants to take her away from the Ghetto. Of course, her mother (Florida), starts bitching about this great opportunity. Ebe insists that her family come over for a traditional dinner. They come and only Florida is being rude. At some point, it appears the she accepts him and the engagement. Then Michael, the youngest brother, brings up the tradition of taking on many wives and everyone gets upset. Thelma doesn't want to believe it and ends up asking her man about it. He tells her the truth and she refuses him and is doomed to stay in the ghetto forever (till the end of the show).

The acceptability all depends on where you live and the mindset you have. Depending on where you live, you could be subjected to many hardships. Good Luck!

    • It's called polyamory. Polygamy is when one man has more than one wife.

I think if you're looking for a polyamorous relationship there should be four people involved so that no one gets left out like in the situation that Avant-Garde described.

I don't think it's abnormal to want this. My belief is that if everyone is happy and if everyone is okay with it then it's all good.

I'm all for it, but my gf isn't. We had a 4some last night. She's open to multiple people in the bedroom, but not in a relationship. The couple we play with are our friends and we trust each other. Were not jealous with each other. It's so much freaking fun.

I'm sure a lot of people want to be in relationships with multiple people, I mean the sex must be great. However, depending on where you live it is not normal. In American society, polygamy is frowned upon.
