To troll or not to troll. iin?

Is it normal to believe you could be a really good troll but simply feel it is not worth the effort? I recently thought up the perfect trolling technique but, I simply can't imagine the continuous appeal. A cost-benefit analysis would clearly show that the cost in time is worth more than whatever gratification one might achieve. is it normal that I believe meeting a career troll would be akin to meeting a serial killer? Not in violence or fear, but in demeanor.

If there are any trolls that are willing to out themselves, could you please explain the results of your cost-benefit analysis? I want to understand.

Peace and long life

"IIN to believe you could be a really good troll but simply feel it is not worth the effort?"

"IIN that I believe meeting a career troll would be akin to meeting a serial killer?"

Given that these are the two questions I ask in my post, I don't see how that observation of mine can possibly answer those two questions.

I was answering your last question, but ok.

"IIN to believe you could be a really good troll but simply feel it is not worth the effort?"

        A: Yes.

"IIN that I believe meeting a career troll would be akin to meeting a serial killer?"

A: You can believe whatever you want, but that doesn't make it true.

  • I wouldn't consider myself a "career troll" but I do like to fuck with people sometimes for the sake of humor.

I have made facebook pages for characters I made up to fuck with my friends. The reactions are often priceless and it doesn't take much of my time.

Most the stuff I do on the internet is not trolling, but sometimes fucking with people makes for a good laugh.

I have enjoyed pranks since a kid and still prank people at times. One of my favorite pranks I do is record my voice mails on a sampler and clip their quotes to make sound boards from people I know which I use to prank call people they know. Some of them have been hilarious.

What motivates me to do these things is that life can become so full of depressing events at times that I feel it is necessary to do things that make me laugh. I don't like being mean to people and like to make others laugh as well. Doing these things is somewhat of a coping mechanism towards life's bullshit.

I read an article recently that said people who troll on the internet score high in some test that measures sadism.

    Wut.

I don't even know; if you don't think it's worth your time and effort for a good laugh, then that's it.

As for the career troll thing . . . well, I guess you might feel overwhelmed because of their experience, but if they make that their career then I wouldn't think too highly of them. There are much more respectable and worth-while careers IMO.

The costs are time and the benefits are lulz.

Maximize your return on investment by making your trollings short and sarcastic. If they are longer, make sure they are brutally insensitive. A rule of thumb: If it's longer than 100 words, someone has to reply in ALL CAPS or it isn't worth it.
