To think it's a waste of time when people don't write their age here?

I think it would be better if everyone that asks questions here remembered to mention their ages.
Most of the stories we all tell would be easier to understand (and make helpful comments about) if we knew the ages.
For example some behaviour would be understandable in teens and totally immature at 40.

It's also kind of confusing when they don't specify the gender of the OP, and everybody has to ask before commenting.

    Well if that truly bothers you, why didn't you give up your age and gender? You know the best leaders do so by example. So then, based on your title, it was a waste of time to bother with this question.

      Oh, damn!
      Well, I really think this particular question is actually so general that it doesn't have to do with my age.
      It's for situations when people interact like "is it ok that my friend doesn't talk to me anymore?", friendships, relationships, sex, work issues, things that are completely different when you become older.

      I'm a 30 year old female, anyways.

    Well, as we have learnt from the recent past, gender can be quite ambiguous.

    I do agree with you, age and gender are usually very important in answering the questions concerning normalcy.

    I think whats more important is whether they are male or female. As you can tell there's alot of immature kids on this site. Keep it simple. Male or female.

    I like a bit of mystery. Not knowing age and gender focuses more attention on the comment. Knowing that the OP is a 30 year old female makes me wonder if she is hot, and not care about the topic.

        I know. How about, "No Comment, now focus." Hmmmm. If your background were important to the post, like if it were a personal problem, then I would want to know age and gender. Otherwise, it's distracting information.

          Hence the example: "my friend won't talk to me" etc.
