To still call your friends by their online name

I mean friends I've met online, and never in real life (although there have been a couple I've com close to meeting, and plenty that I would love to). as we get to know each other better, we learn each others' names, talk on skype (microphone, webcam, etc.) but I still prefer to call them by their username? Even in my phone, I have a couple people from online. I enter their username as contact name. Somewhat used to disguise them from parents/RL friends, but also just because I think those names are cooler, and it is who I first met them as. They call me by my real name, but I prefer to call them by their username even though i know their real name IIN? If I did know them in real life, i would probably still call them by their online name at least as a nickname..

    There are people here I know by first name but still like using their usernames for. I think of it like a nickname.

    I think people tend to call people by the first name they met them. People also tend to speak in the first language they met in.
    I have a friend who I have never met in real life and I probably never will. I have skyped them and I know their real name but I still call them by their nickname because It feels weird to use the real name. It's like not us.

    Augh some of the users I have met in real life call me stifler in real life... I even met that Coolio guy... Hes only 14.

    I met somebody who claimed to be the managment... Obvious liar.
