To see hallucinations?

Okay- I see weird stuff... usually its just things (like shadow lizards or snakes) crawling up the wall out of the corner of my eye- and of course when I turn to look they arent there. I also sometimes see something like a giant inchworm (again shadowed) go along the top of the back of my futon. I see things move near me- and my friends wonder what im looking at. ask if Im okay and I just pretend I was looking at nothing.

But sometimes it gets REALLY weird. Heres two specific times out of many-

I was in wal mart with my mom and we were looking at sprayers for the end of a hose- and I jokingly grabbed one and was pretending it was a gun in the aisle while mom looked at others. Out of the corner of my eye I saw something red. It was a giant red beetle type bug- it was at least the size of a small kitten- I turned and watched this thing scurry across the aisle and then disappear somehow under the blocked off shelving units (blocked off meaning theres nowhere for it to have gone)... I even got down on my hands and knees to look for it. Mom was wondering what I was doing and just thought I was insane. Never found the bug.

Another time I was in the kitchen, and I leaned down in front of the window to grab my shoes (as we were going to go into town) and when I stood up I suddenly found myself underwater- looking up at the surface of the water with shadowed fish swimming above me- it was so real and soooo pretty. I remember everything about it- how the sun looked shining down into the water- how the fish moved- how it felt.

I stayed there until mom said my name and snapped me out of it.

I doubt this is normal.
what do you think?

Sounds like Evil spirits may be messing with you. My brother had saw similar weird things when he was 7. People dont believe in the stuff but i know its real so we have to take it into account. Only Jesus can save you from them

The things you see from the corner of you eyes are indeed real from the depths of hell.

It Could be ur mind playing tricks on you? Like my friend once thourght he saw the devil one night wen he was staring at a wall. Its probably ur subconscious playing tricks on u. You cann even get rlly in the moment in it sometimes. This is sorta related but watever i sometime get the feeling life is fake. Like its a dream or a lie just fake or im just a ghost. Idk i have been wondering if im crazy for sometime too bbut i dont think so

To a certain extent, hallucinations are normal. They can manifest as a result of shadows in the corner of the eye (often the blind spot), be derived from sleep deprivation as before mentioned, or be hypnagogic (vivid hallucinations right before going to sleep or when just waking from sleep).

However in your case this does not seem to apply. Assuming you are young you should probably seek out psychiatric evaluations, because if it is indeed schizophrenia it will likely only get worse as you get older, and at this time you are able to differentiate between reality and your mind which is a good thing but don't expect that to continue.

But I'm not sleep deprived or doing drugs I'm completely clean. And I get plenty of sleep

Yes this is all normal when you are using drugs and staying up for very long periods. What happens is you start to dream out loud while awake.

Anxiety can cause you to see shadows or moving things out of the corner of your eye, but what your describing is sleep deprivation, drugs, etc which is normal if you are using those things.

  • As Valkeer said if you can't tell what's real and what's not then you might have a big problem.

Not normal...could be schizophrenia. Why havent you seen a dr for this?!?!

Danny I don't do drugs or anything so theres nothing to share :)

And valkeer- when I'm in the moment ( like when I was "underwater" or even when I'm not) usually I can't tell if it's real or not. And I usually have the thought "stupid thing go away" or something like it. I was telling my best friend about them and she mentioned I might be seeing another dimension but who knows for sure?

Well that is nit normal, I would freak out!
May it is just your imaginations... Or you might be hallucinating.. Either way.. Freaky

  • Does it interfere with daily life? Are you able to distinguish reality from what's just in your head?

It's normal to see things occasionally that aren't there but to not be able to distinguish reality from what's in your mind is not good and not normal.
