To never get birthday presents?!?

My birthday is In early January and my parents say that I all the presents I get at christmas is also for my birthday. Is that normal???

    your parents are assholes....... they just don 't want to spend money on you. My brothers birthday is 4 days after Christmas and he gets just as much presents as anybody else

    Yes, it happens to a lot of people born in the Christmas season. Your parents probably can't afford Christmas AND your birthday. Maybe ask them if there's another way that you can make your birthday special for you, if your parents' purchasing power is not strong enough for you.

    that sucks...even if you are really poor they should save some money to get you the same as your brothers and sisters, if your bday was xmas day itd be more understandable but january , that is just stingy

    I was going to suggest what tori said her parents did. Ask your parents to give u half at Christmas and half on your birthday. U need atleast one present on your birthday!

    My birthday is in early January also. My parents used to hold out a Christmas present and make it my birthday present. So they have told me. We lived penny to penny. But to not get a gift of any kind on your birthday really sucks. I feel for you.

    They would say that as an excuse because spending so much money on presents in such a short time period is going to go over their budget. Try to compromise with them something like celebrating your birthday around easter or something?
