He wouldn't add you, if he still wanted nothing to do with you. It was a long time ago. You can still be friends.
people are crazy, ex-lovers should be your best friends ever. i have many as friends on facebook .i could love them at one time in the past then they are precious to me now. they all were really special. and if i could get them all in a room at the same time , i would go hole to hole proving it.
