To make jokes, comics, parodies, etc. of someone you have a crush on

The first time I did this when I was about 15 or so with my cousin (we are both girls) there was this guy living up the street from us who would pass by, and idk what my cousin thought but I think he's kind of cute. So, we used to laugh and make fun of him to ourselves about the things he said or did, exaggerate them like a parody, we even made comics about him & laughed. Now I'm an adult, and there is this guy on a drawing site i love, he has weird quirks that my other friends make fun of and they draw parodies/cartoon form of him, and i think he looks really cute in them, even though the are made as a joke. I have a crush on him and I draw them myself, but i would never show him, only because i fear he wouldn't understand and take it wrong. I know its probably immature but is it normal for girls to do this about someone they have a crush on?

It's normal to pay homage for someone you care about by sticking them in a work.

For instance, in one of my book plots, the enigmatic female lead is based on a female friend that I have a crush on and the male character is based on a mixture of me and another friend who is a male.

    • Yes, but I always make them funny, and weird.i think theyre cute that way though, but i worry it might be offensive the the actual person. thats why i never show them.. like exaggerated weird qualities about the person. but i love "weird" characters, other people might just laugh at them for it.
