To have weaker legs than your wife
I exercise using my bench press and dumbbell set at home. My knees don't like running so I swim. My wife runs 4 days a week and sometimes swims. I was surprised to find out something in the hotel gym recently. I knew I was good at the bench press and benched 225 lbs for 4 reps and as expected my wife had trouble doing one rep at 65 pounds. The lady fitness trainer in the hotel offered to show us how to do squats. After some learning the technique my wife was noticing she was having a easier time with the squat than I was. I found out I could only squat 135 pounds 5 times before I needed a spot. She surprised me and was able to squat 145 lbs 9 times and 155 pounds 6 times. She goes deeper in the squat too. Is it normal for a women to have stronger legs than her husband just because she runs. Her legs are thicker than mine. This women trainer said this was not unexpected since my wife is more active using her lower body muscles from running. I am 43 and she is only 2 years younger than me.
