I'm a young woman. Soon to turn 21 In March. I've dated many men, but have held two serious relationships so far. Now that I am single, I'm wondering what does this mean for me? I have met this amazing guy nearly six months ago and we've been the best of friends since. He's really everything I would want in a longterm partner, but I'm just not attracted to him physically. Is it normal for me to completely get rid of the possibility of having a relationship with an amazing guy, only because I'm not physically attracted to him?

    I understand how you feel, if there is some sort of attraction don't hold back. I understand, but usually those kind of guys remain long-term friends with me. It could be a different situation with you though.

    I'm not physically attracted to the young man I'm "with", but we've been close friends for a few years, and eventually became best friends. It's normal.

    Yes. But maybe you're just not at that point in your life where you can forgo that just because you get along. Although it may sound shallow, you really have to be attracted on some level. For some, a mental level is enough. But I personally think that there has to be some physical attraction too.

    Maybe in time things will change for you - I certainly know I've found people I've never thought of in that way attractive after a while - but if it doesn't, then it's not that bad a thing. It may get tricky later on when you find someone you are attracted to but don't get along as well as. Just make sure your heart doesn't go back to him as you move on with others.

      I agree, If your not physically attracted to him i dont think it would be possible to carry a long term relationship

    to be honest that shouldnt stop a realtionship , physical love can grow , like if you only have a mental click with him physically it will grow , do you really want to turn down what could possibly be the greatest thing that could ever happen to you over looks? x
