To drink 6 liters o water/day, be super tired, sleep a lot....?

Is it normal to drink 6 liters o water/day, be super tired, sleep a lot, and doctors say I'm just fine based on their analysis?

My mom has diabetes, is it possible I'm in some sort of pre diabitic stage, and doctors aren't yet suspicious to find it out?

Fact: Start feeling like this when I was turning from 22 to 23. I'm 28 now and it just keeps on getting worse...
Thx

  • 6 litres of water is roughly what I drink in 3-4 days. I'm not sure how you manage to drink that much tbh.

Woah... you really shouldn't drink that much water. I know people say drinking a lot of water is good but there are limits. This is way, way more than you should drink. That's why you get so tired. You're washing out all of the minerals and chemical elements your body needs. This is really unhealthy. It can get to the point were you need to be hospitalized. Please try to stop. At least try to drink only 2 liters a day or less if you can.

This is probably a stupid question but are you extremely thirsty or do you just drink that much water just because? I don't know the experience of type 2 betes but rest assured its not type 1 since you're still alive. Did the doctors do a glucose tolerance test? Test ketones? Have you monitor blood glucose levels for a few weeks? Have your thyroid checked? Are you overweight? How's your diet?

Well my brother had the exact same problem. He was drinking so much water and he felt really fatigued. In his case they were diabetic symptoms. Also you feel less hungry, cold all the time, cold sweats, loss of hair. There are plenty more, I have a diabetic dad who doesn't take care of his diabetes at all... So lucky me i get to see the effects.

No wounder, cause I've been having diarrea for like 2 months in a row.....

I think the fact that you drink 6 litres of water a day may be the cause of you being so sleepy.

    Thanhks for ur replies guys!

-I've done Ultrasounds to most of my vital organs, except for intestins. Everything seemed to be ok, except for a bit of glitter on the liver. But no big deal according to doctor
-Also done a very extensive blood analisis, T4 level was at the maximum it could get, and some liver indicator too. Nothing to worry about according to doctor
-Didn't know there are urin strips that tell if u have diabetes or not. Does it measure the sugar level?

As my sugar level is ok in blood, can I have this:

You could be developing diabetes or another condition. A person really shouldn't drink that much in one day. I suggest finding new doctors that will take your symptoms seriously. Besides feces, what other tests have you had done?

Dont diabetics also get real hungry? I think there are urine strips that you can test yourself with?

Ok, so let me just give you some quick facts, and answer ur questions:

-I drink that much water cause I'm not only thirsty as I am dehydrated as well
-Because of that I also pee a lot obviously
-In case I don't drink that much my pee will turn really dark
-I'm always tired and need to sllep and rest a lot
-Can't focus, concentrate or memorize stuff. My brain just freezes literally sometimes (lake of sugar?)
-If I drink straight alcohol (simples scotch, vodka) when it goes down my throught I feel like throwing up immediatelly. And need to eat sugar right away.
(Had a great alcohol tolerance until I was 22)
-When getting into a car parked at the sun, I start choking cause it's so hot and packed inside. Need to open all the doors first. This applies to really warms rooms
-I'm not overweight, on the contrary, I'm been allways skinny. I just workout a lot to keep an average of 75Kilos, I'm 1.78M (Lost lots of weight at 22
-On Fall 2006 when I was 22 I also started looking really trashy. Besides skinny, my face (usude to have a chubby babyface), started looking like a homeless guy's face. Everyone kept asking me "what the hell happened to you?"
-For some periods of my life I was felling healthy, don't know the reason why, but it was mostly during spring/summer I felt better
-been having diarrea for the last couple of months (some shorts periods without it). Feces tests say everything is fine

Done several blood, feces, urin analysis, and everything was ok. It's just the T4 (tyroid) level was at the maximum it could get. But the doctor said not to worry about it.
Never got the tyroid checked. Should I do it to play safe?

What the heck... I'm I dying here without even knowing its cause? :D

I think you should play it safe and get your thyroid checked. There's something clearly wrong...

Well, according to the lasttest exams done in the last summer, TSH is fine 2.55 on a 5.50 scale.
But as I said earlier, T4 and T3 levels are at the higest they could get. So the doctor said it was fine.
But I don't feel fine at all...

Ok. So, why are you stumped? The T4 e T3 levels were at its limits. Should I be worried about it and look for another doctor?
