Tiptoe through the window By the window, that is where I'll be Come tiptoe through the tulips with me

Oh, tiptoe from the garden By the garden of the willow tree And tiptoe through the tulips with me

Knee deep in flowers we'll stray We'll keep the showers away And if I kiss you in the garden, in the moonlight Will you pardon me? And tiptoe through the tulips with me

Knee deep in flowers we'll stray We'll keep the showers away And if I kiss you in the garden, in the moonlight Will you pardon me? And tiptoe through the tulips with me

I have heard of autistic children doing this.

Is claiming that you are autistic or aspergers a trend nowadays or what? It seems like people think it is cool to.say that they have aspergers...i think it is mainly just an excuse to put no effort into social situations.

I often walk on tip toes when barefoot and going round the house. So does my brother.

No idea why. One possibility is - because we used to have a concrete floor and no heating in most of the house, to avoid our feet getting cold we'd limit the amount of contact our feet made with the ground. So tip toes. And it just became a habit.

It's not like we minced around; you can walk pretty normally on tip toes.

Also, Irish actor Jamie Dornan does this too: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aqUuTLh6pHk

So don't feel too bad about :P

Fairly normal with autistic people. I have high-functioning autism and do it as well.

It's not normal for most people, but fairly normal for autistic people.

In response to Anti-Hero's comment: I LOVE that song! Kudos for referencing it!

To OP: Well, I'm a diagnosed Aspie (Asperger's) but I don't tiptoe. However, I too display certain Aspie behavioral patterns/quirks. There's nothing wrong with it.

That question is on the autism check list for toddlers.
