How does one end a f buddy relationship? At the end of the very last session? Or just before?
The sex is still amazing but I would like to start seeing someone for dating... Not just sex.
What do I say? He is 10 years younger than me so I am unsure of his reaction
Just tell him that you are interested in dating someone, so since you dont want to cheat on that person you are ending the f buddy relationship.
Fuck buddies are not in an official 'relationship.' That's the very definition of the term fuck-buddy. Just tell them you have found a relationship with someone so you are breaking it off. Just be honest.
There's really only one thing to do; be honest as soon as possible. If he takes it badly, that's his problem, not yours. Isn't that the whole point in a non-committed relationship?

All you need to do is say "I don't want to have sex with you anymore". My fuckbuddy told me that when I texted her asking if she wanted to do anything that night, but I don't think the when matters very much. It bummed me out because I really liked her and I really liked sleeping with her, not because of when she said it. There was no time she could have said it when it wouldn't have made me sad.
In all likelihood he already knew it wasn't long-term. Fuckbuddies aren't usually designed to be long-term. He might be sad for a while, but he'll move on just fine.
You should also think about the explanation. You're not obliged to give him an reason why you're ending it, but if you want to give one it should be honest.
Finally, decide whether you want to remain friends or have a clean break - then tell him the boundary. If you're looking for a "proper relationship" it might be best to make it a clean break, but it's your situation and you know best.
This is why FWB is stupid. He's much younger than you so maybe he'll start dating someone his age now.
