Throughout my life several people have just assumed that i'm jewish.

I'm a big guy and my hair is naturally curly, so when I let it grow out it turns into a curly afro. Well I've found that a lot of people, when my hair is grown out, assume that I am Jewish. I have nothing against Jewish people but I myself am not Jewish and I find it extremely ignorant that people just assume that I am. IIN?

I get it too and have no idea why. The only thing that is making me look sort of Jewish at the moment is a lot of facial hair (I think it's over ten days since I shaved). But I do normally shave and my hair is always short. I'm pale and green-eyed. I look like what I am; a Celt.

However, my ex and two of my best friends both made an assumption I was Jewish. That could be because my city has a very large Jewish population, though.

The large Jewish population could be a factor, but it's ridiculous that people just make that assumption. It might be the beard too in your case but either way you figure they'd base it off of more than just a look.
