Thoughts on people with prosthetics.

When I was little I lost both legs in a car accident. Growing up with prosthetics was difficult because most people thought I was a robotic vegetable. My friends still supported me but throughout school, people bullied me. There was this one kid in highschool, he was on the football team, who during gym would occasionally have two of his friends hold me down as he took my prosthetics and put them ontop of the gym lockers. This didnt happen often but when it did, my gym teacher (or the school) did nothing to stop it... In all, what is your opinion of people with prosthetics.

    One of my favourite comedians has a prosthetic leg like that. Other than him, I don't know of anyone with one. But if I did, I would view them as anyone else.

    School bullies and bullies in general are scum. The adults supposedly in charge are worse for allowing it. I'm sorry you had to deal with it.

      People in college (or at least at my college) are a lot more accepting.

        It seems to come with maturity...kids are cruel. Hopefully they grow out of it.

    Its who you are, nothing wrong with it. Just focus on being the best you that you can be.

    Even with prosthetics, I would think you could have swung a baseball bat. Just once should a guy like that get a chance to fuck with you. After a second time, you should have broken both HIS legs so he could understand your life a bit better.

            He'd be long gone a lot slower on broken legs.

    People that pick on disable are just assholes! They think they're better than everyone because they don't have a disability.

    There is a guy who lives somewhere near me who I occasionally see when he's jogging. He has a prosthetic leg and the guy looks in better shape than me. I assume because of his apparent age that maybe he's a vet of the Iraq war.

    People that pick on the disable are pussy becuz they noe that u cant defend urself but wen it comes to people who can they stay away but u cant let that effect u.

    I know 2 guys who have prosthetic legs, strangely enough they live nextdoor to each other. It makes no difference to me. I've seen them without the prosthetic on and it didn't faze me at all.

    I've never thought much about it. If the person is nice to me I'm cool with them how ever many parts they are missing.

      Above the knee with cups, metal for part of it, and shaped feet for the feet.

        I guess it's fine. I just wouldn't take them anywhere with a lot of difficult walking.
