It is official; Netcraft confirms it: IIN is dying

One more crippling bombshell hit the already beleaguered IIN community when StatCounter confirmed that IIN reader share has dropped yet again, now down to less than a fraction of 1 percent of its former traffic level. Coming on the heels of a recent Netcraft survey which plainly states that IIN has lost more market share, this news serves to reinforce what we've known all along. IIN is collapsing in complete disarray, as fittingly exemplified by failing dead last in the recent Alexa comprehensive networking test.

You don't need to be a Kreskin to predict IIN's future. The hand writing is on the wall: IIN faces a bleak future. In fact there won't be any future at all for IIN because IIN is dying. Things are looking very bad for IIN. As many of us are already aware, IIN continues to lose reader share. Red ink flows like a river of blood.

Lead commenter thegypsysailor is the most endangered of them all, having lost 93% of his core readers. The sudden and unpleasant departures of long time IIN commenters bugsforbreakfast and the OP above only serve to underscore the point more clearly. There can no longer be any doubt: IIN is dying.

Let's keep to the facts and look at the numbers.

IIN leader Udi states that there are 7000 weekly readers of IIN. How many readers of thegypsysailor are there? Let's see. The number of IIN versus thegypsysailor posts on Usenet is roughly in ratio of 5 to 1. Therefore there are about 7000/5 = 1400 readers of thegypsysailor. charli.m posts on Usenet are about half of the volume of thegypsysailor posts. Therefore there are about 700 readers per week of charli.m. A recent article put readers of LittleGirlRapedAndSodomized at about 80 percent of the IIN readership. Therefore there are (7000+1400+700)*4 = 36400 monthly visitors to IIN. This is consistent with the number of IIN Usenet posts.

Due to the troubles of trolling, abysmal moderating and so on, IIN went into a tailspin and was taken over by WebAnswers who sell another troubled website. Now WebAnswers is also dead, its corpse turned over to yet another charnel house.

All major surveys show that IIN has steadily declined in reader share. IIN is very sick and its long term survival prospects are very dim. If IIN is to survive at all it will be among website dilettante dabblers. IIN continues to decay. Nothing short of a cockeyed miracle could save IIN from its fate at this point in time. For all practical purposes, IIN is dead.

This website never had much users as obvious from old and new stories because of no advertisement and 404 errors.

Who cares. Also people who are targeted by trolls are targeted because they whine about it which only feeds the troll. There is a lot of troll feed here which only encourages loser trolls who dedicate their free time to trolling the internet because they failed at real life.

I don't want to say i agree. I genuinely enjoy this site. Its very creative and bursting with potential. Its much better than Yahoo answers even taking into account some of the trolls. Buts yes, the idiots who are deleting posts at the same rate rabbits breed can ruin the entire site. I myself have had 4 POSTS deleted for no good reason. One of which even bringing the issue of post deletion to light. It wouldn't surprise me at all if this post itself was deleted by the same person. I wonder if its just one jerk with nothing better to do, or if its a group of them doing it for fun. For some reason it feels as though the first is more probable. The moderators need immediate reformation, they are not doing a good job keeping this site unusable.
