Is it normal that I hate eating ice cream until I have swirled it in the bowl until it has soft serve consistency ? Then it's like almost the best thing ever.

    I used to do that! I'd take vanilla or strawberry ice cream, mix it wiith chocolate syrup, and put banana slices in it. Mmmmm...

    I used to do that when I was a kid except I'd mix it with chocolate syrup and call it ice cream soup like Pewee Herman. XD

    I eat mine like cereal. Ice cream in bowl with a bunch of milk poured over it.
