Thinking of life when listening to some songs

Sometimes when I'm listening to like Coldplay or Muse etc i think of life when I'm listening to it. I think of the hardships of life but also the good memorys of life when I'm listening to some songs.
Is this normal?

    yes.
    when i listening to music i think of perfect place at my mind (usually with soft music) . i also reminisce good memories from the past.

    Totally normal. Even though I would recommend other music for deeper thoughts, but whatever, everyone has different tastes. I think everybody does this...

    that's completely normal, they are both a beautiful and inspirational bands, especially coldplay. their songs bring back many memories for me as well, happy and sad.

    That is definetly normal. If you want songs with meaning, try Evanescence. Amy Lee's songs are full of meaning.
