Things i hear in my head, when i'm falling asleep at night...?

So, when literally on the verge of sleep, I start to hear conversations in my head. Random conversations, about random topics and scenarios, with random names. There's different perspectives (different people, so you get the idea), but the same voice (which is mine) or no voice at all (just thoughts).

It's never really the same. The thoughts are always different and new and completely random, saying completely random things that I would never consider thinking about. It feels like I'm eavesdropping on people talking about their lives, except it's happening in my head.

This has been happening for so long, I don't even know when it began. And, I always know I'm just about to go unconscious when I become aware of the "voices" [which, again is really my own thoughts].

Honestly, this makes me feel like I'm crazy. Every time it starts to happen (it happens suddenly), I'm like "oh not this shit again" and a minute later I'm sleeping.

Yeah, this happens to me too. It's called hypnagogia :) It is the state between sleep and wakefulness and it typically causes you to hallucinate, voices like these being common.
Usually the things they say make no sense (at least for me, sometimes they make more sense and it tends to be when they're 'conversations' like yours) though they feel so natural in that state (they have an odd sort of 'flow' to them then, they also always speak very fast), try writing them down sometime it'll be interesting to read them later.

I used to get that! Don't worry it's absolutely normal! How I got over it was, I've got a clock that does loud ticking and I listen to that instead, and I haven't got it since!

I USUALLY LOOK FOR THE ROOT CAUSES THAT ARE THE DRIVING FORCES BEHIND SIMILAR HAPPENINGS. THIS IS MORE COMMON THAN YOU THINK. I BELIEVE THAT IT IS PART OF SETTLING INTO REST. Many strange things happen when we make that large transition from being awake to being asleep....If I've been around someone who talks a lot and distinctly, I can "hear" their voice echoing in my mind (so it sounds) as I go unconscious! Lol! I think your good......

I truly would not let it bother you. Just your dreams starting a bit early(?)

      agreed.

Who doesn't narrate things out in their head like that, what your doing is just an extension of this it seems, and your dreams are starting early.

I took the liberty of googling "pre sleep dreams" for you, I guess it's called hypnagognia. Not to sound mean but when your curious about something isn't your first thought to google info before you ask "is it normal"?
