So I live in Australia, unemployment is high and the government is letting hundreds of thousands of immigrants into the country. Now the government is talking about lowering our wages in a big way, for people like me that means not being able to afford my house and car. So isn't far enough for me to say "They terk our jerbs!" I don't feel like I'm being racist I'm just trying to hold onto what I've worked hard for.

    i dont think they should let immigrants in anywhere at least not until there own people are well taken care of and employed and all that then let the others iin

    While I disagree with the mentality that the immigrants are to blame, I also disagree with them lowering anyone's wages based on political factors that are beyond your control. That is total dog shit.

      Rich people bring in a whole load of cheap workers to flood the minimum wage market then they lower wages which means there's plenty of people to take those jobs even though the pay is not enough to survive on.

    Wow, this sounds like something happening in other countries. I don't think they should make people born in the country suffer since these people feel like breaking a law.

    Why do you deserve those jobs more than anyone else? Because you were born somewhere completely by chance? Someone shouldn't have to be deprived by accident of their birth. They aren't *your* jobs. I understand your consternation, but you're taking it out on the wrong people. They're just trying to get by, just like most people.

      Yeah they are our jobs, for generations we have built this country, we didn't just invade someone else's country and take what was theirs.
