They stopped talking to me because i was "too good for them"

I used to be really fat and my former friends are fat. Around the time I was losing weight, they tried to get me to eat unhealthy foods and frowned upon me for exercising. I politely refused and continued trying to be healthy. When I got down to my goal weight they stopped talking to me and told me I was a traitor for slimming down. They said I was too good for them. Is this normal?

      Yeah. I think it is jealousy. I remember they used to preach that fat is healthy and people are evil if they don't date an obese person. They saw that I no longer believed in that, things kind of went sour.

        I could certainly stand to lose some weight and get in better shape, but one thing is for sure I don't think there's anything wrong with someone who doesn't want to date an overweight person! I personally think it's okay for any person to turn down a date with anyone for any reason he or she damn well pleases. I don't care if it's related to age, race, religion, ethnicity or whatever, because as far as I'm concerned it will never be about prejudice, discrimination, racism or any of that mess. We all have a right to decide who we do or don't want to spend our precious time, emotions and affections on when it comes to where dating and romantic relationships are concerned. I also don't think the person spurned is ever deserving of an explanation, because no is a complete sentence as far as I'm concerned. Our society is so messed up right now with all the douchebag liberals and social justice warriors out there. If anything this whole fat acceptance thing isn't doing anyone any favors, in fact it's hurting people, because there are so many deadly health conditions that develope as a result of obesity.

        You really have to work at it to get fat when you're eating a high-fat, low-carb diet. I highly recommend you try it—especially if you have a family history of diabetes.
