There are other things in life besides your boyfriend...iin?

I am one of the only people in my group of friends who is not in a relationship. Sure, I think it's great that my friends' boyfriends are good to them, but it just gets on my nerves so much when people go on and on about their boyfriends all the time. Some of my friends are always posting on Facebook (and/or MySpace and Twitter) about how "I wish I could see (Name of Boyfriend)," "I'm really missing the boyfriend" (WHOSE boyfriend are you talking about exactly?), "OMGGG I LOVE MY BF SOOOO MUCH!", "Can't wait to hang out with my hunny" (who do you think you are, Winnie the Pooh?), their boyfriends this, their boyfriends that. Even worse, there are some people who have told me about how they hate it when other girls constantly talk (and post things) about their boyfriends but, then again, they're just as bad. I think a lot of this is because I'm jealous because I don't have a boyfriend to hang out with and talk about all the time. It's so annoying to me because it makes me feel left out. Is this normal? How can I deal with it?

Ignoring them is okay, but that only works for so long. What works for me is to laugh at the stupid things they say and to ask them questions that get them to tell me additional information so I can laugh at that, too. After a while, they just stop. I also like to contradict them. That's a hoot.

Actually I'm not the one who posted this story twice. It is my story and somebody else decided to comment back on it repeating my words. But thanks for your advice. (:
