The word "preggers" freaks me out

I don't know how people use the word "Preggers" in everyday converstion. It's not cute. It gives me the heebie-jeebies to say or hear. I don't even like the word pregnant for that matter. I avoid saying it; like I'll say "Having a baby" instead. Is that normal?

Uhhh. I'm the opposite. I love the p word. .. dirty talk with the one you love. But this is how we are all different and one word can be a major trigger for one person, and another word will be no big deal to others.

hmmmm. I don't see anything wrong with the word. This word is a trigger for you. It has some charge around it.

Try this. Why not see what happens in your body when you hear the word or even think of the word. I never even HEARD of that "word" before. Can you think of other words you don't like? Have you ever said them fast? Say them very slow? Try to break it down. Pre ggg errrrrssss See what that does. Play with the words you do not like. Observe them. They are only words. I'm not saying this is not "normal" to be scared or to hate the word. I'm looking at it from a point of getting comfortable with the word. I used to hate some words and they would be huge triggers for me. Find out what happens in your body with those trigger words and then work on that body part. Stiff neck, stomach pain? Vomiting feeling? See if you can calm your body down by breathing deeply. Some thoughts piss me off. I can get "lost" in thought and I will completely get lost in a "dream" or a through process and I will get so angry and it is not real. My mind makes it up. He hates me, she did that to me due to that. It is basically the same thing with words and thoughts. I hope this helps.

I don't know if it freaks me out per say, but I definitely don't care for the word. Pregnant is fine, though. The one I really hate is V—V—V—He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named! D:

I don't have a problem with "preggers"... but "baby bump" pisses me off.

baby bump sounds very . . . derogatory. But I don't get angry angry rage at the word. I would just rather someone say I have a big (or small) beautiful belly. I'd like that a lot more than baby bump.
