okay, sometimes I dress all gothic you know with the whole, dark purple lipstick, black eye shadow and extreme hairstyles, but at school people do judge me coz everyone at school (the girls I mean) litterly, are all girly girl and it pisses my off that they all stare at my me for dressing different to them what do I do?! :)
To be different from those around you entails paying the price, but if you're not a conformist you'll pay a bigger price for trying to fit in. Let em stare and feel pity for them that they don't have the courage to be different.
I love the goth look but have never adopted it because I really can't be bothered with all that makeup, but you go for it
People who do that goth look aren't doing it because they are different, they are doing it because deep down they realize they wont be as popular as they think they should be. So instead of conforming to a smaller level of popularity, or none at all and just being ordinary, (which there is nothing wrong with, they just cant deal with being "ordinary") they go for negative attention not realizing negative attention is just that, negative.
It's similar to the girl that blows 2-3 different dudes at a party. Some girls are so dumb they just do it without realizing the damage to their reputations. But most aren't that dumb, they are willing to trade a perceived temporary negative rep and some ugly rumors for a chance to be "popular", a slight reprieve from insecurity, and most important they are no longer "ordinary and boring". Of course being herd mentality followers as 90% of women are, some just do it because the perceived "alpha" female will accept them more OR is doing it herself, but that just reverts back to the whole need to be accepted that I started this comment discussing.
What the fuck are you on about. Goth girls or normal girls, Goths dont dress to get negative attention, It is the way they are expressing themselves just like everyone else does. And what has popularity got to do with being goth ??? The author of this post is asking for opinion not popularity.
I suggest you be careful what you say about goths.

I used to be 'emo' and found it was quite fun showing off piercings, tatts, spikes, etc freaks the fuck out of the 'normal' ppl
I think whether you wear New Rock or Prada there will always be ppl who feel the need to tease for some reason or another so if you can try giving less of a fuck about those precious girls and wear whatever you love.
PS. For what it's worth I think goth girls are hot as fuck! ;)
I dress differently quite a lot. Today I've got black pants on with a simple black tee and white skates shoes. Tomorrow I might have trackie bottoms and a sports tee on.
