I bought a pack of underwear that ended up being way too big and somehow not even the style they were supposed to be according to the label. I was going to return them to the store but I had an underpants emergency and had to use a pair from the pack.

OK, they felt good! The elastic parts hold on and the large size, extra material, sags all around and it's like a diaper. An imcredibly comfy airy diaper. I feel kinda weird about this. I almost want to see if I have a diaper fetish now but I don't know if I want to open that can of worms!

Is any of this normal?

    It's not normal, but there's no need to feel bad about it. Go try diapers if you're curious. Sounds like harmless fun.
