Well it is good you see it as inappropriate and degrading - it certainly was.

As punishment, my dad would make me stand in the corner (facing the corner), but I didn't have to strip. My mom would instead spank me with a wooden spoon. I think my dad's punishment was more effective.

Discipline should never be degrading. It may be 'effective' but at a cost. Children should be treated with dignity too. As someone who works with children, if I found out someone was doing this to their kid, I'd think I had grounds to report them for child abuse.

Not normal at all but but sounds kinda like a fake story because it's so out there and I'd think you would know this is not normal. If you are telling truths than I'm sorry you had to endure such abuse. I hate lying and liars too but humiliation seems effective in your case. Lying is bad..making your 14 yr old son strip and for you to actually do it is not good or normal at all.

Your mom sounds awesome. But that is a truly unhealthy thing to do to your child. Truly not normal. That's definitely grounds for years of therapy.

I would've stripped and refused to put anything back on to show her who's boss. I nearly killed my mother once, but I'm way too smart to go through with it, so I just left her with cuts to the neck.

The story is true. When we were growing up, we were told that this was not unheard of, just that it was not usually talked about. Hence I never mentioned it to anyone except to two of my best friends. Yes I wanted to complain but, I obeyed her orders because she said so, and I feared of being given away. Although this all happened a long time ago, it"s not been until recently that I became to question it. I think of it as extreme too, but I grew up respecting honesty.

She's ur mother so she learn u to speak truth to parents. She has seen u nude since so age not factor to be naked. Sister n others may make u just humilliate n ur mother consider as punishment is so normal.
