This is for anyone who has watched the Lorax movie. Picking the tuff of the trees was not doing to much damage. Cutting them down was doing damage but he could have planted more trees or regulate how many he chopped down. He did not think ahead and the trees ran out. Even making a business plan you have to take every last cent into account. The once ler had a good idea but he did not stop to think about what he was doing.

    Yep, not only did he clear cut the forest, which is the most damaging, he didnt even use the wood from the trees.
    Selective cutting would damage the area a lot less, and would allow the trees to replenish themselves,( that is, if he leaves some standing)
