The night frights

Is it normal to stay up ALL night on random occasions because all the horror movies you have ever seen start to come back to you? I don't have insomnia or anything and i'm older than 13. I don't even have to have seen something scary recently. I just imagine some maniac cutting down my door and yelling "HERE'S JOHNNY!" Please tell me if this happens to anyone else!

HERE'S JOHNNY! Be very afraid when you go to bed tonight. I may be on your closet, I may be under your bed but I AM watching you. Be afraid, be very afraid.

If you can find it - look up the behind the scenes clip of the scary movies you are thinking of... this helps me because you see the cameras and other people filming the movies and it makes it easier to realsie that it is - indeed - just a movie and not real.

Don't watch horror films before going to sleep. Even though you think, "Pssh I'm bored, this won't bother me.." Oh yes it will, you'll over think it all night long. Especially if it's a weird horror film, where some particularly creative torture happens to someone. You'll be all like "No someone wouldn't really do that, would they? What if I got kidnapped and they took me to a place like that..ect"

I watched Alien for the first time awhile back, and it happened that there was a critter in my attic walking around. For a hour or so I kept trying to convince myself, it wasn't an alien that was going to pop out of the ceiling and roar at me, because the idea for most of the movie is not seeing the alien, but hearing it walking around the ship making clanking noises. It's funny to think about it now though, lol. That was the first time a horror film really got to me like that.

Its happened to me lots of times. I watch horror movies all the time and don't really ever get scared at all, but at times when i feel really stressed or over-worked, those thoughts just seem to come back to me and i remember when i was about 12 i was being yelled at by my dad and was sent to my room and sat there in the dark and i remembered the grudge movie and i swore i saw her that time when i was sitting in my room. So really what i do is try to keep your stress as low as you can or just don't watch horror movies that much.

Well, I might tell you something you may not want to hear but there are multi-dimensional entities lurking everywhere you step, sit, and sleep...forget the movies. Tell me you did not see any as a small child and I MIGHT not believe you. They are as REAL as you are sitting here reading this right now.

I am 31 years old and it took me the longest time to stand up to my fears. Many of these entities are golems of your subconscious or other-worldy entities that have taken interest in you for some particular reason or another...usually because they are threatened. Astral Projection or Meta-Visualization can manifest any thought into a personally terrifying experience. Don't be controlled by your agents of fear.

My advice: whatever you aspire to be in life - challenge yourself and run with it - the hauntings or fears within you will stir less and less when you challenge yourself! And after every goal you have accomplished, you will fear little if nothing...perhaps you yourself would be one to be feared more than the monsters of your psyche.

It actually happens to me a lot. I've found some ways to prevent it though. I've started writing in my journal at night right before I go to bed and write about things I've done throughout the day. Also, read a book that makes your mind thing of other things. Good luck. Don't worry you're not the only one. Even when you get them though remind yourself that it's all in your head.
