The music changed me.

One night when i was around 10, I fell asleep with my headphones on. With a radio station playing 60s/70s music, the beatles, the byrds, janis joplin, ect. Didn't care much for that music at the time. Being from Kentucky, I was raised listening to mostly country, the music my family liked. In turn I prefered it. I was only listening to the station because I wasn't interested in the other music playing, christian "rock", rap, ect. And the good country station had no reception. Anyway when I woke up the headphones were still on, yellow submarine playing. I remembered having many vivid, bizarre, trippy dreams. Then I noticed how much I was thouroughly enjoying the music that I never appreciated before. Later when I tried to listen to country, it felt like the music was raping my ears! Utterly revolting. To this day I cannot stand to hear country, all the singers sound the same, desperate, and it's like they're singing out of their noses. Since that night my taste in music among other things has pretty much reversed. Is this normal? Has something similar happened to anyone else?

I felt reading a book. And eventually you will fall asleep with the headphones again and you will wake up in Narnia :)

I don't think its a common thing we see constantly. But it's not like there is something wrong with you. Things happens. :)

I voted not normal, but not because there's anything wrong with you, just cuz this doesn't normally happen.
