It's normal to question religion. Things work out in mysterious and semmingly planned out ways sometimes. It could be due to a God, or it could be random chance. You have to decide what you believe in for yourself.

Keep praying. Not just for your health but for your faith too. When you make an effort to get closer to God, he will try to get closer to you. We don't know why things happen the way they do. It's all a part of God's plan. Why does his plan involved people not having perfect lives? So that we humble ourselves and realize that we need him. BUT all that stuff is in the Bible and you really have to believe the things in the Bible to understand what God is all about. If you don't have faith, you won't believe in God.

you think God will fix your back problems? really, your not really understanding the aim of church, so yeah, its understandable why you would stop believing

Interesting to see how most people relate the Church with God and don't mention what is REALLY preached during the priest's homily. Some of us go to Church to pray for our families, not necessarily directly to God, but also through Jesus (he definitly existed) and of course other saints whom people have come to know well. It's OKAY to question the existance of God. I'm Catholic and I sometimes do myself, but there are many reasons why people go to Church. The priest often takes examples of Jesus' life to explain in a deep and meaningful sense, how we can become better people in society and love others as they love us.

and just as Jesus faced many challenges in his life, so must we. We can't pray to God that those challenges never exist for us, but we can pray that the result will be good for us.

Absolutely not. But he does have a grand beautiful plan. He also hates to see one of his children suffer but will allow it as part of his plan that will be revealed to you later. Biggest example is Jesus. The enemy is definately trying to crush your spirit but you can't allow him to do that. Everyone I know that has gone through miserable circumstances that they just didn't believe could be happening to them eventually pulled through and later bece guiding lights for others in their same positions. They found their role in gods plan and I guarantee you that you have a star role in that plan as well.

I stopped going to church for my own sanity. I just couldn't take the "good ol' boys" club anymore. The more I read about Jesus and God outside of the church just made me more determined not to go. Everything is taught from ancient men. Women are nothing. To many books omitted from the bible. As for is there a God that I believe in, not sure. This God has not answered any of my prayers. If this God does answer some prayers, why only a select few. My husband thinks I'm terrible because I won't go to church anymore. Why go when all I do is sit there and glare at the priest and feel angry. I feel better about myself not being subjected with one belief.

    GOD, doesn't exist!
It's just an idea that naive and sad people created a long time ago, just to make them go through their hard lives...
    That's it..........
    sorry!!

Take my advice or leave it. Keep going to church and reading books on God and Christianity. The more Faith you have and the more you read unto Him, the harder it makes for demons to feed you lies and interrupt your life. He loves you unconditionally. He created you. :)))

  • Same here. Its more for me though that I am a man with a faith in logic and religion really misses this one. Yes, its normal.

Same thing that happened to me
I don't mean to impress my beliefs upon you, but I may as well mention that as soon as I stopped believing, life got a lot easier, and I felt a LOT less restricted.

Use your reasoning and make your decision.
    I wish you well.

Completely normal. You're starting to be observant, instead of having blind faith. Just keep thinking about it and be honest with yourself.

From the looks of it, god either doesn't exist or doesn't seem to be bothered with humanity. It's the same effect either way. Personally, I think there probably isn't a god. This is what I've learned from life.

what do you mean there is no god ?who created you or just happened to be like that by accident?does something so perfect happens by accident ,who created the universe ?why dont you big bang some stones with each other and see if they produce something amazing ?this life is not paradise ok different people have different problems so you have to believe in god only if you dont suffer and thats not true belief ,the true believer is the one that believes in god in good and bad times ,god tests your beliefs ,he is not a tradesman that you pray to him only if he gives you something back ,its us that need him not he us so keep praying my fiend and be patient ,god loves the patient
