The majority of women i know seem to go for jerks?

I'm not talking about nice guys finishing last, there's a difference between being a nice guy and just not being a jerk, I seem to notice a pattern, both in my actual life, through college, colleagues and friends and on here that with the odd exception men tend to go for the shy awkward girls which I think is a little more understandable but the women tend to go for the guys who seem to make a point to offend or annoy other people or just generally treat the people around them like dirt, act sarcastic or are man whores, again, there's a difference between having the confidence to flirt and doing it with absolutely everyone but it seems that every person I've met who does it ends up with a group of women after them, anyone else or is it just me and the kind of people I've been hanging with?

        The women who do this have been abused in the past(possibly by family and friends) and are most likely co dependent. There is also some people who are huge jerks to everyone beside the person who is friends with him. For example you can probably find a few criminals in jail who are respectful to mom and dad but they dont care about the rest of the world. I know I have been friends with these people. They often spare you since they are your friend.

    It is interesting that those guys who don't have a steady gal seem to feel guys that do are jerks. Or 'bad boys' or some other derogatory term.
    Is it just jealousy or is there some deep seated reason why guys who are successful with women are poorly thought of by those guys who aren't?

    I personally would love to find a man who is nice, but freaky in bed (and also very dominant). The two things seem difficult to find together sometimes.

      Meeeeh, Maybe it's just that lot of the guys who consider themselves into be nice or strive to be nice are just not keen on bringing up or admiting to liking some more adventurous things when it comes to sex or liking the idea of occasionally being a bit dominating in the bedroom...........I'm guessing

    Self-proclaimed nice guys usually are jerks.

    Besides, even if you are 'nice', what does that matter? Being 'nice' doesn't mean you are attractive, fun, good in bed, or anything. Niceness doesn't make up for everything else.

    It's common for females to go for jerks and douche bags , what % of them do I wouldn't know . They will get tired of the abuse and neglect and settle down with a nice boy eventually don't worry . The ones who don't , well .. good luck to them and their awesome life xD

    I have to agree with this. Obviously it's not the case for every woman but I've definitely seen it so much that a fairly sizable amount of women do this. Their choice. If they want to be with bad guys then that's up to them. I've also noticed that a lot of girls tend to describe assholes as good people aswell. Like when a guy has been known to cheat on their partners yet their partner will say how amazing they are as a person...Lol.

    Overall, people can be with who they want, assholes or not. Their choice. I just want them to spare people the whole "I thought he was good? Where are all the nice guys? :'(" speech because so many of the times I've heard it I've also known their boyfriends were douchbags just by knowing them a little.

    Women go for men that will be good providers/protectors, thus assholes.

    Men go for shy/awkward women. because they think they'll be more desperate and thus more likely to put out.

    All things considered, for males, it's much better to be an asshole and get to bang the hottest women.
