    Religion is a human condition.

Why, because my cat says so. "meow, meow..."

  • What stance is supposed to be hypocritical here? I support euthanasia though.

      Good question.

Hypocritical with regard to church and the pope.

The pope believes he is God's representative on earth.

Yet for a man of God who says he believes in heaven, he opposes euthanasia. Why would you oppose euthanasia if you truly believed in a life after this one.

Death is as incurable as is the 'common cold'.

      I rest my case.

I detest all religion. (Give me a tax break, hahahaha.)
I detest flag waving. (Patriotism is brain washing and divides those that believe in it. Wars are fought over it.)
I detest war, the only winners are the undertakers.
I detest those that deny others their freedom for telling the truth.
I detest money, it is the reason most humans who have little or none of it, end up living a life of misery.

I reserve the right to update this post.

        • I don't get people who hate money. Without it, we'd just have a trade based economy. Not only would that be inconvenient, but those without would still remain without.

And if people didn't trade things, people would never be able to enjoy such a variety of resources.

      • It does sound hypocritical from a certain angle, and the apostle Paul wrote, "For me to live is Christ, and to die is gain." He kept living to do the Lord's work, (which an incapacitated, suffering candidate for euthanasia would be unable to do anyway) but dying would have been more personally beneficial.

Maybe the Pope is against euthanasia because it involves killing someone, simply because the Bible says, "Thou shalt not kill." If that's the case, then even its being a mercy for the person is irrelevant.

I'm a Christian and I still support euthanasia though, because I consider it by its other name, assisted suicide. And to my knowledge, suicide is never listed as a sin.

Burn your bible if you so desire but don't look on it as the gospel truth.

          Religion is the problem.

Truth is for those who desire it.

Sin is a defined human condition.

YET OUR DNA CANNOT EXPLAIN IT.
