      You can still find quality hip hop being produced underground/independently. Check out cyne if you haven't already; soapbox, haze, 400 years and arrow of god are just a few of many great tracks.

I'm a big fan of indie hip hop duo Atmosphere. Seen them live a few times.
Sean Daley (frontman) writes very introspective lyrics, and Anthony Davis produces some great beats.
When they tour they play with a live backing band.

It's called Hip Hop. And it's a style of music that grew out of working class black America, spread across the world and is what it is today.

Rapping is a vocal delivery style, similar to spoken word poetry, with a strong focus on rhythm and rhyme.

I do like rap. There are plenty of good rap songs out there, somethat aren't that "deep" but is a fun song and ones that are deep and have a good sound. Sure, there are a lot of bad rap songs out there but you can say that about any genre.
