The evil gulps

i was raised to believe that the number 6 is evil and that there is a place called hell and i might possibly get left behind in a rapture.. so my problem is this: every-time i drink something, i cant help but count the number of gulps..and if my last gulp is the 6th one, i fear it will summon evil spirits. pretty messed up.. but its kinda the feeling you get when you sense a ghost or something. anyone ever have this problem?

    It's not OCD at all. It's just a superstition based around religion. While this particular one is unique, having superstitions in general is not.

    People use the term OCD these days for everything. It's actually quite annoying for those of us who actually do suffer from it.

    I do similar things often! Not exactly religious things, but similarly pointless things that I believe have power over me. I don't know what's wrong!

    If you did your research, the number is actually 616. It was changed to 666. But then if you did proper research, you'd find that no number can be evil.

    uh how can a number be evil? thats like saying a chair is evil. it just doesn't make sense. it's superstition, folklore, urban legend whatever you wanna call it. if you are constantly thinking about the number 6 and thinking it's evil you will just keep seeing the number 6 everywhere and u will eventually think everythings evil and drive urself nuts. get help somehow seriously.
