That ugly girls being told they're pretty on facebook annoys me?

I just get really annoyed when an ugly or really plain girl puts up a picture on facebook and her friends all comment that she's: "Gorg!", "omg so pretty", "wooow so pretty"... etc. Is that normal? I'm not saying it's wrong to compliment them, but it annoys me that the friends go so out of their way to lie to her face! Just let it be for god's sake! Getting annoyed just thinking about it. Am I alone in this or what?

    I understand why you get annoyed. It's coz all her mates are so fake. This is my son's pet peeve too.

    But, it's common practice nowadays to build up everyone's self-esteem so they all think they are wonderful. It's usually only when they get into the real world, and go for job interviews or jobs, that they get told the truth.

      The real world is harsh. Trust strangers (women trust women strangers) when they tell you you are beautiful or pretty. Your friends are only looking to protect you and will lie to your face and make you believe you are good looking.

    This makes me wonder what YOU look like.

    But really... beauty is in the eye of the beholder and everyone likes to get complements. It can be depressing if you post a pic you really like and no one says anything.

    What would you like those people to say to that person? "Get a back, you fucking cow!!!"? You'd be okay with that? What if someone said that to you? How do you know that the comments on YOUR pics aren't fake, too?

      well some attractive people (truly attractive people) will post pictures and all the fuglies won't comment. I think since most people are average to fugly, they boost each other up, and ignore the truly good looking pics. Personal experience here.

        yes! my cousins are obese! ugly as sin, and they post up very bland picture, and everyone says, "gorgeous", "beautiful", "pretty". I am very pretty, without makeup,a and no one writes a thing.

    That sort of commenting annoys the crap out of me, regardless of whether they're pretty or not. It's incredibly "teeny" and annoying, IMO.

    You know what really bothers me? When guys like you act like girls don't have the right to feel beautiful just because they don't look like an airbrushed picture of Angelina Jolie or whatever.

    Once I commented on a girls pics "such a ugly pic" and she asked why ugly? told her back that she really is ugly and everyone else is lying. Next day she blocked me!

            Whilst reading about something that really annoys me on Facebook, Miss Sorel manages here to come out with another one. The appallingly overused, childish way of trying to belittle people, usually on Facebook, that I come across all the time.

            The dreaded 'Aww bless' followed by the use of 'sweetie' in a vain attempt to try and grab back the dignity we all know they never had in the first (normally I can confirm this with a Facebook picture, but unfortunately on here I will have to give you the benefit of the 1% mule doubt).

            Its the new internet version of a school kid repeatedly responding "i know you are, but what am i then". There's no way of beating her argument from here on in coz she's a sassy, BBW with attitude.

    I love how anyone who calls you guys out for being shallow is pegged as ugly.

    Maybe some of us just realise that physical appearance is a temporary thing, the best looks will fade with time and maybe, just maybe *gasp* not everyone has the same standards as you on what is attractive and what isnt.

    I frequently find that the people I find attractive are not the people my friends find attractive, and vice versa.

      There are some really good looking people that age very well, and despite the older age they look great. Most of us don't age well. We find out who were taking better care of themselves and who are truly good looking when we are old. You can't lie with makeup at sixty.

    OMG THANK YOU!!!! And then these sea creatures of women go on dates, and when the guy wants to split the pay 50/50, she gets pissed. SHE IS LUCKY SHE EVEN GOT A DATE! Idk. Just pisses me off 2

    Lol if everyone in the whole world were truthful and honest. None of us would be here. There would be no government or world leaders...we would probably live in little hurtles just depending on family and friends or not even that. Lies is what keeps the world turning. Lies and fairytales.

    I do get kind of confused with a really ugly girl gets tons of comments,....im like.don't these people have eyes?!!!!!

    I'm confused yes but I'm not annoyed, if they wish to lie to her. Then that's their problem...everyone can see she's ugly so those comments are invalid.

    But on the turn side that girl is probably happy someone thinks she's important and beautiful.idk.

    If you dont like the. Girl then just delete her..I delete all the time...it's part of life I suppose lol.

    Its all these girls wanting their friends to feel good about themselves, even if they secretly think otherwise. People should be honest but skillful at it. For example, I'm not going to tell an average girl that they are beautiful, but I will tell them that I like something they are wearing and that it looks nice. I hate lying especially to someone who might end up being hurt in the end.

    if it was your friend and all of your other friends were saying 'WOWWWW AMAZING' 'OMGEEEE LIKE TOTS OMG LIKE OH MY GAWDDD UR GORG!' ok i carried away a bit anyways u would be that one person sitting up there like 'what are you guys talking about.. shes ugly :/' now would u REALLY post that....
