making an original character (oc) is very personal to me, so I gather up a lot of aspects from things that make me happy.
This amalgamation is actually like 99% the same as fricking cloud strife from final fantasy, and I'm afraid if I make my oc public then I would get hate from copying.
How do I avoid getting hate from people who say that my character isn't original?
Well, if you didn't intentionally make it very similar to cloud strife, then it is an original character. After all, there are instances in real life where two people can look identical even though they are in no way related and live on opposite sides of the world (doppelgangers)
Hahah, I've totally done similar. Normally by accident when I kinda take a lot of a character when making my own and I only realize til later my OC isn't as original as I thought. By accident or on purpose, it's totally fine!
I played a game that based some of its characters and items off of final fantasy, so I think I got it from that.
gaiaonline or something. I had a blast getting inspo and stuff.
I actually made the oc when I was like 9 and I'm like 15
near-same hair, similar hair colour, very similar outfit, similar sword design
oc has brown eyes - like the only visible difference
not too sure about things like personality and backstory.
