My girlfriend is a model and she does nude fashion shoots. I get invited to her after parties and the photographers and agents around always flirt with her in front of me and more often than not end up kissing and leaving with her. This drives me crazy, but when she comes home the next days, she tells me its a custom of her profession to do this. She tells me she has no chance of success otherwise and sleeps with me all day long to make up. But after when they call her up again she leaves telling me its just business. Please tell me if this is normal way to get out there for a model.

        This isn't normal. It doesn't matter what the profession is, in a lot of cases you CAN fuck someone to maintain your job and get more money. BUT you don't have to . . .
        This isn't just a model thing, though it may be more common.

        You sound like a sad lonely ol sap. You should give yourself more credit and find someone who deserves you, because she most certainly does not.

        Alright this is hard to start at cause this is half true but isnt. First of all your girlfriend seems fine with it and if she loved you at all she would probobly not feel right doing it. Second yes a lot of models do have to sleep with the directors/photographers and stuff to make it but they dont sleep with every fucking man that walks in the room. She sounds like she is hooking and you are too stupid to understand that. Its not like shes a porn-star so its not like she is being paid to fuck on camera.

    How did this become the case, anyway? This must of started somehow. Did they all out say "Have sex with me", or say "have sex with me or you won't get the job"?

    In either case, she had a decision. Say no, not knowing if that would end her career, or say no and leave the career.

    By her accepting this happening, she is showing that her career means more to her, even when the whole purpose of it is to make other men attracted to her, than the relationship.

    Leave her.

    The last I checked, in terms of traditional modelling (fashion), sleeping around wasn't a necessity for getting somewhere in the business. Now, I am aware that times have changed but... This still sounds fishy. It's not normal in my book. What type of model is she? A porn model? Do you really want to be with a woman who fucks around your back? Are you just putting up with her slaggy self simply because she's presumably beautiful or is it something else? Do yourself a favour and drop her ass! Break up with her!!!!

    Your girlfriend needs to contact an attorney who specializes in employment law. Then she needs to grow a spine and get a recording of this/these photographers telling her "fuck me or you're fired." She may never work for the scumbag level of photographer again, but at least she'll be less likely to contract an STD.

    She will also own every asset said photographer ever dreamed of having for himself. And possibly many of the assets of the photographer’s employer, too. I believe that their behavior would be found to have created a hostile work environment and she would win her suit in a New York minute.

    And, I don’t believe for a minute (yes, that same New York minute) that any upstanding modeling agency would put up with such behavior from its staff or contractors (or freelancers that they use). I think it’s much more likely that your girlfriend was having trouble getting work in her chosen field and that she figured out (or heard on the grapevine) that Joe Photographer would hire her for shoots if she would only join in on an orgy/gangbang afterwards. I also think that your girlfriend is a slut. Probably a very pretty slut, but a slut is a slut; it doesn’t matter if she’s homely or drop-dead-gorgeous.
