That my bf signed cards with first/last name?

He's my ex now, he broke it off (maybe no surprise) with me after nearly 2 years. He didn't do this the first year we exchanged cards. It sounds petty of me I know, but if it was a way for him to say he wasn't serious, then I think that was silly. Also there was more behavior that was questionable on his part otherwise I would probably not mind this much. I'm tired of thinking about it so here it is.

This last card is from Xmas. I asked as casual as I could:
"How come your first and last name?"

Him: "It sounds professional!"

...I joked that we weren't on a first-name basis anymore. Then he snuck the card away and "fixed" it. Sorry if this is sort of a boring story. Haha. Also trying to upload a pic of it. He crossed out his full name anyway so I don't think it's too personal.

Probably just a habit. My mom often signs cards to me with her name instead of Mom.

I guess sometimes it's just as hard to break up with someone as being dumped. But the breakup did give me more closure but sometimes I still get upset, which I'm trying not to. I didn't realize until after, that getting dumped was less stressful and maybe even hurt less than being together. If you need to break up, best wishes. This was my story by the way ^

    I do this!

It's a habit. Hell, I'm so bad I'll even sign off emails to friends with "Regards, John Doe" (not my real name obviously). I've had more than one friend/girlfriend/etc take the piss out of me for it too.
