That i want to be intimate with my friends?

I don't mean sexually intimate, I mean as in physical and emotional means. Such as hugging, kissing on the cheek, hand holding, leaning on them, playing with hair, just being openly affectionate with them guy or girl. I used to never want that but nowadays I actually want to, could being gay have something to do with it? Or could it be that my once lost affectionate side is returning from my early childhood? OS anyone else intimate with their friends like that?

    If you can't do that with your current friends you should find ones that you can be closer too.

    There is a line that I think this type of intimacy is toeing. With some of these, I think it's ok, and with some of my best friends, I do the hugging, leaning on, ect, stuff, but there are some of the ways of intimacy that you mentioned that are more or less reserved for relationships, like the hand holding, kisses on the cheek, and arguably hair playing (I say arguably, since with two good friends, it might be fine, but as an ignorant observer, I would never think "good friends," I would think "in a relationship")

    I'm that way with a few close friends who I used to date for short periods of time, who I don't really consider ex's but we were close enough to being lovers that were at that level of comfort. That kind of affection will always be somewhat romantic.
