Im african american (Capeverdean and Portuguese) and I dont really care if White people, Asians, Jews ect. say nigga around me but other black people flipout and go crazy if they aren't using it offensively. Is it normal?Thoughts?
Niger means black as just one of the colors. good thing Latin is dead else there would entire nation that couldn't order a niger car or w/e
I like the words given powers thought. But yeah it's all about context. I'm sure you would be offended of it were said in a demeaning way upwards you. However you are able to distinguish hostile and non hostile uses of the word.... Unlike some of your African American brethren. SOME

Eh, I'm the same way about fag/queer. I'm a lesbian but really girly and when I talk to my brother or mother on the phone the first thing out of my mouth is, "What's up juicy faggot"...to which they respond..."nothing much cheesy queer". One thing I hate about this thread. "African America", I fucking hate that term. Wasn't it one of the founding fathers that said "If you declare to be anything other than American, you are not American."
I just hate that people are called "black" or "white". Those words have such little meaning.
