That i chew on my cheeks whenever i see patterns on a car journey?

Whenever I am on a car journey I chew on my cheeks everytime a car goes past or I bite my tongue, this also happens everytime those markers in the middle of the road go by, a street light goes by or if there is a big gap between two cars. This has got to the point where It annoys me way too much.

When I'm in a car, I focus on DRIVING. Stop biting your fucking cheek and pay attention to the road.

When I'm in a car, I watch the dotted lines and try to pick out exactly when the car passes the dotted lines. Or I count them. It's just a habit to occupy my thoughts or time I guess, when I'm bored. Try to focus on something besides these things that compel you to bite your tongue. It's probably a habit that you'll grow out of. I used to have a lot of weird compulsions when I was a kid that I've grown out of, like the one I mentioned already. And I used to count syllables on my fingers. When someone is talking in real life, or on tv, or in songs, or just phrases that came to my mind....I'd count the syllables and feel really satisfied if it was multiples of five. It became really irritating but I couldn't stop even if I tried.
