So for the first time two days ago me and my girl friend had sex, after we were done I said "Thank you" she looked oddly at me for a moment or so I don't know if that was normal to say or not but I was really greatful.
Next time say "Ah that was great. Now get me a beer and make me a sandwich woman."
It's nice that you were polite about it but people usually don't say it. Sometimes having a smoke, A awkward silence or taking a shower is customary.

Everyone's comments are so cool and funny! For me, I think that was way real of you to be so chill and say what you felt. I have a guy who feels I am his soul mate. Always afterwards he puts his arms around me and says, "I appreciate your gift" or "you are so wonderful to me" We laugh but deep inside I feel all fluttery and happy and it certainly makes me all the more 'cuddly', even after are long, tiring day.
Generally people don't thank others for sex, lol. Your intentions were good, but I'd avoid saying it again.
