Ever since I heard about the kid who rammed his head down on his desk causing a pencil to lodge itself into his brain killing him instantly, I have wanted to do the same thing on most tests. Some times I get to the point where I'm holding the pencil up on the desk and staring at it. Other then that I don't and never have had any suicidal thoughts. Is that semi-normal?
I think you really should consider how painful it could hurt if it doesn't kill you instantly and then you might get brain damage and then some nurse will have to feed you and change you for the rest of your life.
Sounds like an urban legend. Tried googling it, and found a story about a woman who had a pencil lodged in her brain for 55 years. Apparently it has not a vital organ.
honored that you actually spent the time to google it. the story as i heard it was that a kid who was taking the SAT had a perfect score (as far as he got) but was stuck on a question half way through and instead of risking getting it wrong he propped pencils into both of his nostrils and slammed his face against the desk. And I never really consider doing it, I just think of what it would solve and how cool it would be. I guess the question I should have asked was "is it normal to think that failing a test is a viable reason to kill ones self?"

You people need to stop hangin' with your girlfriends all the time and start study-ing at least 20 mins to avoid that fucked up stuff.

Just a legend! Still don't do anything stupid, they are only tests. Life may get the better of us a lot of the time but you just have to roll with the blows.
I can just imagine seeing my freind do that from across the exam hall now. How off putting that would be.
Well thats an urban legend to start with, i.e. not a true story. I'd reccommend doing your exams with a crayon from now on to avoid this possibility.

the thought of it makes me feel sick lol id rather get the question wrong and fail than to kill myself because you casnt pass when your dead!put the pencils away when you feel like this!!
