Terrified of death

I go through these phases where I constantly think about dying. The fact that I am going to die and that everyone around me is as well. The very thought makes me very sad. When I start to think about it my body gets cold like all of my blood has rushed to my feet. I literally freak out on the inside...I have only spoken about this to a couple of people.

if you think about it, we wont really mind that were dead once we die, because we'll be dead. I'v always hoped my death would be spontanious and quick, so once it happens, thats it. Who knows, i could die even before i finish this sen

    One simple fact in life:
10 out of 10 people die, and 10 out of 10 people die before they think they should. However, fear is often the result of lack of knowledge. Here are some statistics about death:
Number of deaths for leading causes of death
    Heart disease: 597,689
    Cancer: 574,743
    Chronic lower respiratory diseases: 138,080
    Stroke (cerebrovascular diseases): 129,476
    Accidents (unintentional injuries): 120,859
    Alzheimer's disease: 83,494
    Diabetes: 69,071
Nephritis, nephrotic syndrome, and nephrosis: 50,476
    Influenza and Pneumonia: 50,097
    Intentional self-harm (suicide): 38,364

So knowing these facts, you can actually make physical choices to prevent an early death. By eating healthy and eating certain foods or taking certain herbs (such as cranberry and Reishi mushroom) you can delay these from happening.
Heart disease: ask your doctor about eating "heart healthy"
Cancer: Eat healthy in general, stay away from burnt marshmallows, eat cabbage and take Selenium. ALWAYS CONSULT A DOCTOR
Chronic lower respiratory diseases: Once again, just eating and drinking will improve health greatly, and you will be less likely to contract such diseases.
Stroke (cerebrovascular diseases): Definitely ask your doctor for more information if you suspect anything here. blood thinners like vitamin E help here.
Accidents (unintentional injuries): Simply be careful. NEVER drive distracted, think before you act, etc.
Alzheimer's disease: Keep your brain healthy. Take fish oil regularly, and many vitamin stores/health food stores have brain health supplements.
Diabetes: maintain normal sugar intake levels (learn what too much is. Take Chromium Picolinate on a regular basis to help prevent.
Nephritis, nephrotic syndrome, and nephrosis: I actually don't know about this, so ask your doctor
Influenza and Pneumonia: Wash hands regularly and practice good hygiene
Intentional self-harm (suicide): Don't off yourself

Conclusion (sorry it was long): Be careful, take vitamins such as A,B complex, C, D, E, K, fish oil, chromium, and be happy. Happy people live longer, maybe up to 35% longer. Find joy in the simple things. and ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS Consult your doctor before following any of these pieces of advice.

P.S. Dopamine and Serotonin are your "feel good" drugs your body produces when you have good experiences, such as eating, orgasm, etc. You can naturally increase these and feel better by getting up and going to bed earlier, and spending more time in the sun.

  • Yeah, I recently started thinking about it. Like how your life is just all of a sudden going to go black, it's hard to imagine. I'm still trying to figure out how to come to terms with it. Maybe I already have as much as I can, but get interested in the mystery of it and know that everything is just perception is all I can say at the moment.

I do that sometimes. Try not to think about it, and just live in the moment. Realize how great your life is and how happy the smallest things can make your day. :) Hope that helps.

It's a normal feeling in my opinion. I'm sure everyone thinks about it one time or another. The fact is we are all going to die someday and nobody knows when. You can't worry about it just try and have as much fun as possible while your here.

used to happen to me too exactly as you described. but then i was only 6-7 years old. however since i have found The God (One God, Allah, no son, no trinity, no original sin etc) The Creator of the Universe, Paradise and Hellfire. I have stopped feeling so bad.
