Telling someone your dreams

Backstory: Today in lunch a table I sit at spoke about their dreams and I found it so weird because no one has ever in public.
I recently had a lucid dream myself and inform people about them, while also asking about their dreams while recommending "Gateway to the Inner Self by Robert Waggoner" Do you think it's normal to spread the concept of being aware in dreams?
